Teachers are able to walk around the room without the students having to move their desks. Students seated in the center or front of the classroom tend to interact more frequently with the teacher and the number of behavioral problems tend to increase as the students sit farther from the teacher. Also, students in the back and corners of the room are more likely to be off task than those close to the front or to the teacher’s desk. The main seating arrangement used at this centre is the semi- circle, however the arrangement depends on the situation of the class and teacher. Displaying childrens work lets them know you value it and them. Documenting the process of student work benefits children, engages parents, and guides teachers. At the Valsayn Government Early Childhood Care and Education Centre, children’s work is displayed in every centre and also on the bulletin board. Children enjoy looking at documentation about their previous as well as present experiences in the classroom. The children enjoyed art and craft. They seem to become fixated when they were drawing, painting, cutting, pasting and working through activities. The children loved working with their hands.
